De Nora manufacturing facilities are distributed worldwide in 14 sites in Germany, Italy, the USA, Brazil, Japan, China, and India. More than 1.000 specialized workers are well-trained in a high level of EHS and operational skills. De Nora's plants are certified to international quality standards and equipped with state-of-the-art coating production lines and metalworking machinery and tools.
With the largest electrode production capacity - including advanced Gas Diffusion Electrodes (GDEs) and next-generation electrodes for new applications in renewable energy storage such as water electrolysis - De Nora is the coatings supplier of choice when it comes to industrial electrochemistry.
The well-developed mechanical production of De Nora Deutschland (DND) covers a wide range of machining and manufacturing of membrane cells, as well as anodes and cathodes of various shapes and sizes, with variable dimensions from a few cm² to several m². We are constantly adapting our production to the state of the art. Thus, modern laser or microplasma welding systems with optical seam tracking can be found there as well as the competences in milling, drilling or grinding.
In terms of sustainability and energy consumption, we are guided by the latest standards and pay attention to the continuous improvement of equipment. DND also maintains DIN EN ISO 50001 certification for this reason. Health, safety and ethics are also of paramount importance.
Thanks to the in-house production of our gas diffusion electrodes (GDE), De Nora Deutschland can also support you in the areas of HCl and NaCl electrolysis for chlorine production. Furthermore, this type of electrode is used as cathode for oxygen reduction and anode for hydrogen oxidation in fuel cells.
At DND, we also manufacture De Nora's own DSA® branded dimensionally stable anodes, as well as LIDA® mixed metal oxide anodes for cathodic protection.
